Former education minister, Obiageli Ezekwesili launched a child-learning center ‘ The Light Factory’ on November 27, 2013.
The Light Factory will serve as an after school learning center for kids in the community during the week and children’s church on Sundays.
The learning center is managed by a non governmental organisation, Total Child Education foundation, which was setup in 2010 and centered at the primary educational level of children within the Aguda, Surulere environs of Lagos state.
To remember her contributions towards the child-education, a library and learning center was named after the former education minister, Dr. Ezekwesili.
Dr. Ezekwesili was joined at the Book- reading/ opening ceremony of the library by Pastor Wale Adenuga, Dr. Modupe Olateju member of the Common Wealth Education Board, Ms Oyintare Kalamaand other members of the Board of Trustees of the Total Child Educational Foundation and children selected across different primary and secondary schools.
