Police in Ukanafun Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State yesterday arrested a 3-man robbery gang led by a woman.
According to police, the robbery gang was specialized in dispossesing their victims off cars, motorcycles, and other valuable items.
Dickson reportedly said the gang (made up of two men and a woman) was arrested at a black spot which they used as their operational base in Okoyo along Ukanafun-Azumini Road.
According to reports, Ubong Dickson, a member of the gang, admitted to being part of the robbery operations and is presently assisting the police in their investigation.
The police spokesman assured the public of adequate security protection during the yuletide and end-of-the year festivities.
He stated that the suspects were still undergoing interrogation and would be charged to court as soon as investigations were concluded.
