The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Olusegun Mimiko of the Labour Party (LP) as the winner of the Ondo State governorship election held yesterday.
INEC declared Mimiko winner with 260,199 votes, trouncing Olusola Oke (PDP), who came second with 155,961 votes and Rotimi Akeredolu (ACN) in third place with 143,512 votes.
In amassing this huge win, Mimiko took 13 of the 18 local government areas in the state, with Akeredolu winning in three and Oke winning in two.
